Netflix’s new show Ginny and Georgia contains a joke about how fast Taylor, 31, allegedly ‘goes through men’

He said Taylor had ‘balls’ and referenced other pop stars ‘who run through men/women like it’s cardio’

Taylor Swift’s close friend Todrick Hall is being accused of ‘slut-shaming’ after he defended the star against a ‘deeply sexist’ Netflix joke about how ‘fast she goes through men’ – by calling out other singers who ‘run through guys like it’s cardio’.

YouTube and Broadway star Todrick, 35, took to Twitter to stick up for 31-year-old Taylor in the wake of furious controversy over a ‘deeply sexist’ joke that aired in new Netflix show Ginny and Georgia, pointing out that she ‘hasn’t dated a crazy amount of people’ and insisting that society shouldn’t use ‘someone’s life as the butt of a joke.’

But his impassioned defense of Taylor rubbed some people the wrong way, particularly because he used the opportunity to call out other pop stars ‘who run through men/women like it’s cardio’ — and because, Twitter users have pointed out, he has slut-shamed other celebrities in the past.
