Leonard Fournette isn’t leaving Florida. The running back cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars Monday is going to join … Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per a report Wednesday.

Fournette will join an offensive powerhouse in Tampa Bay. The Bucs added Brady and Rob Gronkowski in the offseason. They already have a dynamic duo at wide receiver in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Fournette was the fourth overall pick in 2017 out of LSU. He had a troubled time in Jacksonville, to say the least. When Fournette wasn’t unhappy, he was productive.

He rushed for 1,000 yards as a rookie and in 2019. However, Fournette has yet to play in a full season. He has seen action in 13, 8 and 15 games, respectively.

He joins Jamal Adams as the second first-round pick from LSU in the 2017 draft to change teams this offseason. Former teammate Jamal Adams was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in July for a pair of first-round picks.

Fournette’s first game with the Bucs will be in Louisiana as Tampa Bay opens at New Orleans.

Unfortunately, the Jaguars and Bucs do not meet in 2020.
