Leeds are eyeing up four more transfers after completing a deal for Rodrigo.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa does not want to add more than four more players to his squad as the Whites prepare to announce the arrival of Rodrigo from Valencia before the end of the week.
Leeds fans have had to wait patiently for their first signing since clinching promotion to the Premier League.

Rodrigo is due in Yorkshire today to undergo a medical before penning a blockbuster contract worth around £100,000-a-week.

It will not be the Spaniard’s first experience of the English top flight as he had a brief loan spell with Bolton in 2010/11, scoring one goal in 17 appearances.

But since then he has blossomed into one of La Liga’s deadliest goalscorers and gone on to earn 22 caps for Spain.

Leeds will break their transfer records, which stood at the £18m they paid for Rio Ferdinand, when they complete the £30m deal with Valencia.

The Athletic claim an announcement is being prepared for the end of the week.

Valencia last night issued a statement which read: “Valencia CF have reached a preliminary agreement with Leeds United FC this Tuesday for the transfer of Rodrigo Moreno, at the expense of completing all the documentation and other formalities and passing the mandatory medical examination.

“Valencia CF want to thank him for his commitment and effort over the last six seasons – in which he has played a total of 220 games, scored 59 goals, and helped to win a cup.

“Valencia CF wish him all the best in this new stage of his sports career.”
