Luka Doncic shows how clutch he can be

The legend of Luka Doncic has been skyrocketing lately and is only growing after the ridiculous game he had on Sunday, which he ended with an incredible game-winning buzzer-beater in OT that beat the Clippers, 135-133.

The craziest part about this kid? He’s still really just a kid as he’s only 21 years old, which is bonkers.

Luka limped out of Game 3 with a sprained ankle and his status for Sunday was in jeopardy. But then he went out there and had one of the most impressive playoff games that we’ve ever seen, finishing with 43 points, 17 rebounds, and 13 assists.

Think I’m overstating things about his performance on Sunday? Well, according to Elias he’s now one of only three players in NBA playoff history to have a 40-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist game. The other two guys? Charles Barkley and Oscar Robertson.

He also became just the second player in NBA playoff history to finish off a 40-point night with a game-winning buzzer-beater while trailing. Who’s the other guy? Michael Jordan, who did it that memorable jumper over Craig Ehlo and the Cavs back in 1989.

Oh, and he also became the youngest player in NBA playoff history to have a 40-point triple double.

So yeah, the legend of Luka is definitely growing.

By the way, this video of how his buzzer-beater sounded inside the bubble is pretty cool.

What’s even more nuts about his performance on Sunday is that he did it without the help of Kristaps Porzingis, who was out with an injury. And at one point the Mavs trailed the Clippers by 21 points.

At one moment on Sunday, Doncic was on the bench with his shoe off getting work done on his ankle. A few minutes later he was back out there doing work against a Clippers team that had no answers for him.

Now this series is tied up at 2-2 and the Mavs have a serious chance at knocking off a Clippers team that is one of the favorites to win the NBA title.

If Luka can lead them to a win in this series than you can just put the legend label on him for good.

And he’s just 21 years old!
