The first live show in Kwekwe came to halt moments before the main man Jah Master was about to perform. Many had gathered in Amaveni at Cluwd Complex owned by Takunda Gore to see the ‘Hello Mwari’ hit maker perform but things did not go as planned.
Arriving in Kwekwe a day before the show everything seemed smooth as he was in Kwekwe and Gweru town with event organiser Takunda ‘Cluwd’ Gore meeting fans, everything looked promising. Many people were eager to see Jah Master.
A source who’s identity didn’t want disclosed said “Moments when Jah Master was about to perform, there was some guys who can and said the show should be stopped immediately. There was some negotiation but the guys did not budge so the show was cancelled with immediate effect. It something to do with local politics.”
The show organiser promised to pay back money. We reached out for a comment and he said
To all my Kwekwe fans kindly accept my at most apologies, The show could not proceed due to reasons beyond my control. For all those who had purchased entry tickets kindly visit anyone of our Cluwd Meats and Market Outlets and we will reimburse your funds. Please don’t forget to bring your entry tickets for identification purposes.
