Christian Pulisic believes Chelsea can successfully challenge for both the Premier League and the Champions League this season after the club spent over £200 million on new signings.

The Blues were the most active among the top six teams in the league, with the club sealing a number of deals.

TUKO.co.ke reported the west London side completed seven major transfers for Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Malang Sarr, Édouard Mendy, Ben Chilwell, Timo Werner and Thiago Silva.

Despite the arrivals, Chelsea have had a mixed start to the season, picking just seven points from four matches.

However, Pulisic has exuded confidence his side has an edge over other clubs and have a better squad depth than they had last season.

And when asked if he felt winning titles is a realistic goal for Chelsea, the winger who inherited the no.10 jersey said that remains the club’s target.

“Chelsea is a club with a lot of history that always wants to compete and win titles,” the forward told CBS Sports.
“Our goal is to finish at the highest standing in the Premier League and win every trophy available, Champions League included,” he added.
Last season, the Frank Lampard-tutored side finished fourth in the Premier League, managing the feat with a relatively young squad.
