As quoted by Sempre Milan, Maldini said: “We talk. I think we have frozen for a moment the thing for the market that has seen us protagonists within certain parameters agreed with the owners.”

The 21-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season.

Milan are currently top of Serie A, while Chelsea sit 10th in the Premier League.

Thomas Tuchel began his time at Stamford Bridge with a 0-0 draw against Wolves in midweek, and will be aiming to secure his first victory at lunchtime on Sunday when Burnley are the visitors.
