Thomas Muller scored a late equaliser with his second of the game to earn Bayern Munich 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig in a thrilling encounter at the Allianz Arena.

The German’s leveller 15 minutes from time kept Bayern’s two point lead at the top of the Bundesliga in tact, but it seemed for much of the second half that Julian Nagelsmann’s men would change that.

A breathless top two fixture would see 17-year-old England under-21 starlet Jamal Musiala score with a stunning strike from outside the box and Justin Kluivert net his first for Leipzig, with Christopher Nkunku and Emile Forsberg also on target for the away side.

And just four minutes later Bayern had turned it around as Thomas Muller made a trademark run to turn Kingsley Coman’s pass past Gulacsi to make it 2-1.

But Julian Nagelsmann’s men stunned the home side once again by hitting back immediately as Amadou Haidara’s clever pass gave Justin Kluivert space to slot home to make it three goals in the space of six minutes at the Allianz.

And the thrilling encounter in Bavaria continued after the break as Forsberg somehow found a free header in the box following a fine move involving Nkunku and Angelino to nod Leipzig into the lead once again.

The goal was sure to prompt an inquest at the back for Bayern, with Jerome Boateng and Niklas Sule nowhere to be seen as Forsberg guided the header home.

The frantic start to the second period seemed to shock Bayern as they struggled to pose a threat, with prolific striker Robert Lewandowski barely having a kick of any note throughout.

Hansi Flick brought on Serge Gnabry with half an hour to play to try and spring some life in the home side and while they would have much of the territory, they struggled to break down a well-drilled Leipzig defence.

Leipzig nearly made the ideal beginning to the game inside two minutes, winning a corner before Marcel Sabitzer cannoned a turning strike off the crossbar to give the hosts an early panic.

A serious next 10 minutes saw neither one of the sides force themselves, however Leroy Sane went close twice in the wake of hitting the side netting before Peter Gulacsi must be aware of dismiss his low cross.

Leipzig began to show their danger on the break, however, as minutes after the fact Nkunku saw an on track exertion diverted over before he cut inside and twisted a strike simply past Neuer’s correct hand post.

Yet, it would be third time fortunate for Nkunku after Leipzig broke by and by, with the Frenchman locking onto an Emile Forsberg pass prior to taking it round Neuer, who had come miles out of his objective, and opening into the vacant net on 19 minutes.

The Bavarians attracted level decided style through a far-fetched source on the half-mark as Musiala, who had quite recently entered spot of Javi Martinez, terminated home a fantasy objective.

The English celebrity was taken care of by Coman after a flawless one-two preceding hitting a perfect strike from 25 years out that arrowed into the base right corner.

It took a pass of fixation in that guard for Bayern to at last discovery. Muller and Lewandowski both wound up with space to head home Coman’s cross and it was the previous who met it to balance with only 15 minutes to play.

As the game entered the last stages it looked increasingly more like Bayern would secure it. Musiala wound up played super in the container however his sleepiness saw him scrape the shot into Gulacsi’s thankful hands.

They attempted frantically to make that hole at the main five focuses yet Leipzig hung on for what could even now be a vital point for them in their offer to end Bayern’s predominance in Germany.
