Barcelona Interested In Signing Man U Star

Barcelona was recently humiliated by Bayern Munich in the champions league quarter final by 8-2 this lead to the club chiefs making some changes in the team. Quique Setien was fired and Eric Abidal resigned from the post of sporting director.



Former Barcelona defender Ronald Koeman took over as the manager and Ramon Planes took over as the sporting director. This is one of the toughest times as the two are looking to build a strong squad that will compete for the EUFA champions league next season



The former Netherlands manager only wants to remain with only seven first team players. This means that he has to sell more than ten players this summer. He has so far listed some of the players he would like to sign this summer including Georginio Wijnaldam, Memphis Depay and Dony van De Beek



TUDN sports reports that Barcelona is Monitoring the situation of Manchester united’s England Winger Marcus Rashford. Barcelona was linked with a move for the 22 year old last summer but the deal did not happen as Manchester united set a price tag of £150 million.



The youngster has been one of the best youngsters in the Premier league this season. Although he had an injury that saw him miss around ten games he still managed to score a total of twenty two goals in all competitions this season. He also provided seven assists this season.



The player is currently valued at around 100 million but with the financial impact brought about by the effects of this Pandemic that might reduce to around £80 million. Barcelona will consider making a move on Rashford if they fail to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.



Barcelona has been interested in signing the Argentina National from Inter Milan as they want to play him along with his fellow Countryman Leonel Messi. Inter Milan have also stated that they will only let him leave if their valuation of £100 million is met. Manchester City have entered the race to sign the striker. This makes it hard for Barcelona to get to sign him this summer and hence could opt to go for Rashford.
