Aiden McGeady on Sunderland future and ‘unfinished business’

The 34-year-old also believes the Black Cats have unfinished business with a Wembley final up for grabs on Wednesday night.

“That’s the aim [playing at Wembley again],” McGeady said. “If only the old manager had let me back in a bit sooner, then who knows – we might have been a bit better off, I don’t know.

“But the aim for me and the team is to get to the final and win it and then get promoted. There’s no settling for mid-table. That’s not what this club is about.”
