2020 NBA Finals Court Design Unveiled Ahead of Heat vs. Lakers

One day before the start of the 2020 NBA Finals, the court design for the series between the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers has been revealed.

The NBA shared images of the court that will be used to determine this year’s champion

The court isn’t significantly different from what teams have been using at the Walt Disney Resort since the season resumed on July 30, with the exception of “NBA Finals 2020” in the middle of the court replacing the standard NBA logo.

The Heat and Lakers have taken similar paths during the postseason to set up their epic showdown in the NBA Finals. Both teams have 12-3 records through the first three rounds. Miami is the lowest-seeded team (No. 5) to play for an NBA championship since the 1998-99 New York Knicks (No. 8).

The Lakers were the best team in the Western Conference essentially from the first day of the regular season. They can tie the Boston Celtics for most championships in NBA history (17) with a victory over the Heat.

Game 1 between the Heat and Lakers will be played at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
